By way of introduction.
This is what I think about when I think about trail running.
Left foot, right foot, repeat. Breathe in, breathe out, repeat. Look ahead, look up, look around. Smile. Connect to where you place your feet. It’s all about you, and less about you at the same time. The trail connects you. You’ve never felt smaller, yet you can’t wait to shrink even more as you lose yourself in nature. You catch the view behind you and it takes your breath away, amazed that you made it so far, and yet you still have so far to go. On this run, and all other runs you’ll be lucky enough to begin. You can run the same route again and again and always discover something new, about the trail, about yourself. The learning never stops, and so the journey to discovery continues, about the trail, about yourself. The simple act of left foot, right foot, repeat, breathe in, breathe out, repeat teaches you so much about yourself, teaches you so much about your surroundings. This is what I think about when I think about trail running.
